En kritik af Jean-Paul Sartres negative definition af Jøden

Abstract

In this text, a critique of Jean-Paul Sartre’s negative definition of the Jew is presented. While Sartre’s arguments concerning the Jew have an interesting philosophical and general depth, this text also seeks to show that they lack the proper historical foundation. This critique aside, reflections concerning minorities in general are discussed towards the end of the paper, and indications of a new understanding of the formation of minority identity using Sartre’s perspectives is presented.
